plugin: minAppVersion is now 1.13.0.

display() is not called when getSettingDefinitions() returns a non-empty array, so adopting the declarative API is a replacement, not an addition. With no backwards compatibility to keep, the hand-built tab bar, its keyboard navigation and its ARIA plumbing are deleted outright rather than maintained alongside a second UI — tab-keyboard.ts goes with them, since that behaviour is Obsidian’s now.

Seven page definitions replace the seven tabs. Scalars are control definitions addressed by DOT PATH into the settings, which is what makes them reachable from Obsidian’s settings search — the point of the issue. Dot paths are the one stringly-typed seam this introduces: settings-definitions.spec.ts builds the whole tree, against empty defaults AND a seeded starter pack (the collection pages emit rows only when entities exist), and asserts every declared key resolves and none is declared twice.

Collections become list definitions, so drag-to-reorder and keyboard delete come from the framework. The arrow buttons in editors (shipped in 0.9.0) and rules are gone — same array move, done natively. Order remains load-bearing and spec-pinned: editors drive run/rail/panel order, rules are first-match-wins.

Deliberately still imperative, each for a reason rather than convenience:

defaultBackend is a NULLABLE object, so a defaultBackend.backendId control would walk to null, be refused by writeControlValue, and silently not persist.
Backend rows keep their toggle in render: a control writes straight to storage, which would enable a local CLI program without ever showing the launch-consent dialog.
Entity rows need a toggle AND an edit affordance, and a definition is exactly one of control/action/render.
Chip lists edit arrays, which no control type persists.

Fixes from an adversarial review of the migration:

Rules and backends resolved the doomed entity from the render-time snapshot in onDelete. The framework re-indexes rows the moment a drag lands, while our refresh waits on persistence — so deleting in that window hit the wrong entity, silently rerouting reviews (rules are first-match-wins). Both now resolve against live settings; list-delete-index.spec.ts pins it and fails without the fix.
“Clear history” became a whole-row action, losing the imperative tab’s “you must hit Clear” safeguard — a stray click wiped every entry with no undo. It confirms now.
Numeric controls lost clamping and the last-value fallback. They declare defaultValue (a cleared field submitted 0, below every minimum) and a bounds validate that rejects inline before storage — better than the old silent clamp, which changed the number without saying so.
setControlValue resolved on failure, telling the framework a write succeeded and leaving the control displaying a value that was never stored. It rejects now, so the framework can roll back to the stored truth.

Lint drops to –max-warnings 0: the one tolerated warning was obsidianmd/settings-tab/prefer-setting-definitions, which this fixes.
